A pity that information had not reached the station on 6 January.
Somebody might like to report completion of the work in this thread. I
shall ask Customer Services for more information.

I doubt Customer Services will give a crap. ;)

Best Wishes,
LEWIS

Very drole?

This should arguable start another thread, but I have just got this from

I have just received a communication from the manager responsible and
wanted to update you on the issue you raised.

We do have plans to produce a piece of customer information - probably
a map, which will show toilet facilities on the Underground in more
detail. However this will be available on our website only (i.e. we
will not be printing it) from about April onwards.

I have started collecting detailed information on LU toilet facilities
while doing other work in London Underground.
http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/Getting_around_London.pdf has
the information iconically. I want to document the facilities.

At Totteridge and Whetstone on Sunday morning, "men" on northbound
platform 1 was shut. The station supervisor said customers could use
"women" on southbound platform 2 while the listed building containing
"men" was being repaired. No notice and YMMV.

In a probably futile attempt to avoid anyone else needing to add toilet
humour, I have this: one of my Civil Engineering lecturers used to say:
"It may be **** to you but it's my bread and butter".

If that was your first attempt, I hope your attempt Number Two is more
successful :)

I complained at https://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/contact/tube/default.asp.
I thought it helpful to advise people here.

I quote a response from

The problem with these facilities was due to flooding. As the station
is due for refurbishment in the near future our original intention was
to carry out the work at the same time. However, with the number of
customers' requests to re-open the facilities we've received recently,
the work has been rescheduled and started on 8 January.

A pity that information had not reached the station on 6 January.

I was visiting Farringdon this morning. It still had the whiteboard
notice showing no intention to fix the problem. I spoke to an unbadged
gateline CSA and was directed to the Station Supervisor's office. He too
was not wearing a badge but perhaps would not then be viewed as customer
facing. It seems the work DID start on Tuesday of last week and may
finish by the end of this week. I shall check again on my next visit.
