IRISH RAILWAY RECORD SOCIETY - LONDON AREA


On Thursday 17th January the London area's next talk is "Iarnród
Éireann freight" by Hassard Stacpoole, followed by the area's AGM at
the Exmouth Arms, 1 Starcross Street London NW1. The talk will be at
1900 and will be followed by the AGM at 20.30.

Hassard Stacpoole will look back at the changing scene of rail freight
on IE including reflections on the final sugar beet season, a look at
the changing scene of containers and the demise of freight traffic
generally. He will also look closely at selected IE freight operations
including a ride on shale and beet trains.
