Next meeting will be held from 19.00 – 21.45 in the function room of
the Exmouth Arms, 1 Starcross Street, LONDON NW1, 5 minutes walk from
Euston station (west on Drummond Street, north on Cobourg Street )
this Thursday March 13th. Those attending are asked to make a minimum
donation of £2 to defray expenses. Newcomers to the meetings are
invited to make themselves known to Committee members, especially if
they are IRRS members.

“Northern Counties Railway” by Leslie McAllister
This talk accompanies our forthcoming publication of the third volume
of the late Russell Currie’s Northern Counties Railway trilogy. This
third volume covers the technical aspects of this fine railway – the
route, services, operations including signalling, locomotives,
railcars, passenger rolling stock, goods rolling stock and bus
services. Leslie’s talk will summarise the railway’s history and deal
with the topics covered by the new book. It will be illustrated by
photographs and drawings from the book, and illustrations which did
not make the cut!
