Default Heathrow T5 - another head rolls

According to The Times today, Heathrow's managing director is leaving with

Mike Brown, currently chief operating officer at London Underground.

Perhaps they chose him because his current organisation manages to run

Why do directors given the boot bother coming out with the standard
issue platitudes such as "the time is right for me to move on". Who
the hell is he kidding? Why don't these people retain a bit of
dignity, shut the f... up , collect their fat pay off and close the
door behind them instead of just making themselves look like idiots by
pretending it was their decision to go.
