Default Oyster card validity from Waterloo to Wimbledon on national rail network

Using the tfl.gov.uk route planner with restrictions for passengers
who can't use stairs or escalators (but who can use the steps on a
bus) it routes a journey from the Holborn area by bus to Waterloo
station and then to Wimbledon station on the **National Rail network**

Obviously an Oyster card can be used on the first leg by bus but on
the second leg from Waterloo the tfl site adds notes at the side of
this leg saying "Zone(s): 1, 2, 3" does this mean that an Oyster
card could also be used on this part of the journey and if so would
this just be charged at the Zone 1,2,3 travelcard rate? (the journey
would be offpeak)

On the return journey from Wimbledon to Waterloo would there be a
problem with "touching in" (or out) ?

http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tickets/oysteronline/6369.aspx says

London Overground now operates the following routes:

* Euston and Watford Junction
* Richmond to Stratford via Willesden Junction
* Barking to Gospel Oak
* Willesden Junction to Clapham Junction

http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tickets/oysteronline/5823.aspx

Oyster single fares are generally not available on National Rail
services in London. The only routes where pay as you go is valid a

* Amersham - Marylebone
* Finsbury Park - King's Cross/Moorgate
* Stratford - Liverpool Street
* Tottenham Hale/Seven Sisters - Stratford
* Upminster/Rainham (Essex) - Fenchurch Street/Liverpool Street
via Barking (but not at Forest Gate/Maryland)
* Walthamstow Central/Tottenham Hale/Seven Sisters - Liverpool
Street
* West Hampstead (Thameslink) - Moorgate/Elephant & Castle/London
Bridge
* West Ruislip - Marylebone
* Greenford/Ealing Broadway - London Paddington (but not at
intermediate stations)

None of which seem to overlap the Waterloo-Wimbledon area.
