Default London Buses....

So - I've just moved to this rancid hole and it seems that not only do
the locals not understand how to communicate with people it appears
that the local transport services are also just as bad...

I headed over to the TFL site, using their journey planner to get to
Greenwich it was routing me via Central London when I'm absolutely
sure there is a direct bus route. Seeing as the shelters don't have
timetables in them and there doesn't seem to be a timetable available
online I'm a bit annoyed at the complexity of getting on a bus to go
down the road in this town.

Where I come from it is as simple as looking at a timetable and
getting on the right bus.

So why is it that there are no timetables available for the buses
here?

And why is it that if you go to ask a local for directions they either
walk away or ignore you totally?

Hiroshima? They should have flattened this hole!

That seems quite unusual - TfL are quite good at posting bus
information compared with many areas outside London.

I've come to the end of my tether with it to be honest.

I've not yet met any folk as rude as londoners, and clearly I am one
of the rudest around.

Perhaps if you have a look at this page:

http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/gettingaround/maps/buses/

you should be able to find what routes are available wherever your "rancid
hole" is located, and from that how best to get to Greenwich.

Or select Greenwich and work back from there.

You might have more success with that if you don't like what the journey
planner tells you.

Crap public transport in London? Say it aint so!

The timetables are a work of fiction anyway given the traffic so what
use would they be?

And why is it that if you go to ask a local for directions they either

Ask in Polish next time.
