However long it takes them to record new messages, plus however long
it takes to update the data on each train. Could be months. I've never
known them to be in a particular hurry.

(eg The Jubilee Line was still advertising the Canning Town-City
Airport shuttle bus long after the DLR extension there opened)

Updating the trains seems to take years. I am sure that we are now
into years since they started replacing the "spank" announcements on
the Central and Northern, but many trains still have them.

When they work out that there isn't a line called the "Circle and
Hammersmith", or at least not yet and not from the passenger's POV.

Well they have still not around to recording a message North Acton, change
for Ealing Broadway...etc

Remember how many years Bank was still advertised as a national rail
interchange?
