Weekly Underground Tickets
Around ten years ago when I visited London I purchased a weekly underground
travelcard which gave access to all zones for one week. I remember I had to have a photo ID with it. I found this to be a better deal than the daily travelcard which could only be purchased after a certain time in the morning (after 9am or 9:30am I don't exactly recall). Are these weekly travelcards still available? Also how could I purchase one as I don't remember exactly how I did the last time? Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Spike |

Still available from LUL Stations or National Rail stations in the London area. More here http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tickets/faresandtickets/1059.aspx click on the "adult travelcard" link on the left hand side of that page for prices. We await your questions about what Oyster is ...... ....but now you don't need a photocard for weekly London Underground-issued travelcards I think? (just for monthlies and annuals). -- Paul Ginsberg Tapping away from Barking |

And equivalently, an Oyster card doesn't have to be registered to store a weekly on it, but it does to store a monthly. |

Actually you don't need a photocard for any period travelcard now. Peter Smyth |

The Zones 1-6 3 Day Travelcard (aimed at visitors) is £42.40 anytime or Obviously priced so no one buys it but just forks out an extra fiver for the 7 day version. £21.20 off peak only (not 0430-0930). 0430 is peak time?? Are the tube tunnels open for walking along before the service starts or something? The service starts at 0439 (at Hammersmith H&C anyway). -- Richard J.
