A sign says "Public footpath," cyclists think it means "Cycle lane."
A sign says "No cycling," cyclists think it means "Cycle lane." A
sign says "Cycling prohibited," cyclists think it means "Cycle lane."
A sign says "Cyclists must dismout," cyclists think it means "Cycle
lane." et. etc.

A sign says "Cycle lane," and the cyclists will just ignore it because
there's no just fun cycling where they can't annoy us pedestrians.

You forgot: A red traffic light means : cyclists go now!

True, but since we pedestrians think a red man at a pelican crossing
means "Run across the road as soon as you can," it would be
hypocritical of me to complain about that... ;)

Do you take extra "acid tablets" to pep up the bile in your insults or
does it just come naturally? ;-)

Surely insulting cyclists is something that _always_ comes naturally.
After all, most of them are irritating annoying little ****s who
deserve to be insulted as much as possible.

Insult them? Nah. I just try to knock the ****ers off their bike by turning left
without looking... but I know damn well that they are there!!!

I think I must have met you. Don't you worry that while killing
someone you might scratch your car?

The delays weren't due to snow on the line. They were due to some sort of
failure in the ATO system. It happens all the bloody time spring , summer,
autumn and winter and no doubt LU have weather related excuses for all the
seasons ready on standby.

There was a broken rail. These do not happen "all the time" nor are
excuses "on standby" even though you won't accept a word I say about it.

Well I'm jusgt going by the excuse that LU themselves gave which was
signal failure which on the central line means ATO issues. Are you telling
me they were lying?

Oh , purely natural, nothing artificial :)

route I drive on your little bicycle. 13 miles of some steep hills and
the
north circular. I've yet to see someone riding a bike on the A406 ,
perhaps
because even cycletards have some basic self preservation instincts left.

Nope, it'll because they use a more direct route not available to planet
raping cagers such as your good self.

Take a look at the route from arnos grove to north ealing on a map dumb****.
The A406 is the most direct route. Its virtually a straight line.

As for planet raping - go look up the amount of energy it takes to grow the
food you use up when cycling. Its a damn site less efficient than refining
oil.

Oh , and FWIW my cage is nice and toasty warm in the winter even in just a
shirt. And I can drink my coffee and listen to the radio all in comfort.
But you enjoy your cold wet slow ball crusher mode of transport. No doubt
someone envies you, but its not me!

Well, of course it is! He's a cyclist. Cyclists have serious

remember that, Boltar. You're normally the one voice of sanity and

Sorry , you're right. I must try harder in future :)

Too bloody true.

The fault probably presented itself initially as a signal that wouldn't
wouldn't clear, as a broken rail means a track circuit failure.

The distiction between 'signal failure', 'points failure', and
'broken rail' is usually pretty acadmeic to customers anyway: what
they care about is 'when is the next train?'. Getting that correct
is much more important that the root cause analysis - and as someone
stuck on the Central that day, I don't think they got that part
wrong at all.
