Default Oyster online

Hello

I am trying to ascertain which credit card I registered for Auto Top
Up, as the numbers on both my cards have changed recently. I also
cannot find my journey history online anymore, it was there at one
time.

When I try to log on I am presented with a 'change password' page
wherever I go. I change the pw and get a 'web page not found' page,
repeatedly.

I then tried phoning, was in a long queue, so did not wait on a call I
was paying for. Tried filling in a complaint form, no good - requires
mandatory journey details.

All this is absolutely useless for me living at a distance and
visiting London infrequently.

Any suggestions as to how I move forward please?

Two or three years ago (maybe longer), the back-end system used for
Oyster online was changed (away from some proprietary system and onto
something better IIRC) - this entailed everyone having to change their
passwords because the original password was held in an encrypted
format on the old system that was inaccessible from the new system -
well, something along those lines at least, I don't know the details.

It sounds as though you're caught in this change password limbo,
because old links have not been updated hence you're getting a 404/
broken link. All pretty crap and frustrating sounding, no doubt.

It is possible to put in a complaint via the secure web form - choose
"Make a complaint" -- "Oyster" -- "Oyster online". It asks for a
date and time of incident - you could just put down whenever it was
that you tried it and in the comment below say it's happened each time
you've tried it.

I'm confused as to why you say you can't navigate to the online
journey history bit given that you seemingly can't log in whatsoever.
