Since Train is derived from the french "trainer" - to follow what noun should be applied to those strings of passenger vehicles propelled by a locomotive but controlled from the leading vehicle? ____________ The French word "traîner" means: drag, pull, haul, tow, and so "train" is exactly the apt word.
