![]() I've just noticed some of the expensive infrastructure that's been built for Fastrack, in particular the three-lane viaduct over the Dartford tunnel approach and under the QE Bridge approach. Here is a shot along the three lane viaduct, showing that one lane is for pedestrians... https://maps.google.co.uk/?ll=51.456...308.28,,2,2.24 .... and here's the view up from the tunnel approach, just to see the length of the thing... https://maps.google.co.uk/?ll=51.457...30.46,,0,11.06 .... although the shadow cast by the viaduct in this shot reveals that the viaduct goes over another insignificant road as well... http://binged.it/16G0vnm Fastrack A is the only bus that uses this... https://shareweb.kent.gov.uk/Documen...meside_map.pdf .... and the maximum frequency is every 7-8 minutes... http://www.go-fastrack.co.uk/images/...fastrack_a.pdf ..... there is also a shorter two-lane bridge over University Way... http://binged.it/1hOtQO1 I suppose that the frequency could increase at some point, but by how much? Since the main road around Iceland drops to one lane every time it goes over a bridge, I believe this road could have done too. |
