I suspect it's meant as art. Look at the UndergrounD "Roundel" - it's
square.

The Victoria Line is fun. Northbound from Oxford Circus, it goes to
Warren Street, King's Cross St Pancras, High- "hey, wait a minute, we
missed out Euston", so it goes round in a circle via Euston before
returning to Highbury & Islington and on to Walthamstow.

The Hammersmith & City manages to avoid Edgware Road entirely. That's
cheating!
