And why four passes over the northern Circle, and only one the
southern? To even it up, the first leg should really have gone via
Tower Hill clockwise to Wimbledon, even that was never an official
end-to-end route (but neither is Wimbledon to Barking via Kings
Cross).

That isn't possible assuming the train is leaving from the bay
platforms at Moorgate.
