These use the curve between Beckenham Junction and New Beckenham" By coincidence I managed to unexpectedly travel between New Beckenham and Beckenham Junction on Saturday 11th March. I was waiting for a Hayes train at Lower Sydenham, and noticed Beckenham Junction on the platform display. I was in no rush so decided to go on a detour... It was the 1347 Charing Cross to Hayes service, which was 13 minutes late at Lower Sydenham and diverted to Beckenham Junction and terminated in the bay platform, returning as a 1456 service to Charing Cross. (I was the only passenger on the return train until New Beckenham) |
