Hi guys,

I'll be arriving at Victoria Coach Station at about 11pm on 3rd June 2004
and looking to catch an early morning flight out to Italy on the 4th with
intention to stay overnight at Stanstead Airport.

My question is : At 11 odd pm, what options do I have in getting from
Victoria to Stanstead other than by cab which i'm not too keen on.

Any night service buses or tube or trains? Can anyone advice me on the
services or fare prices?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you ppls once again!!

You could do that, but as others have pointed out, there's a direct,
frequent and all-night bus from Victoria Coach Station to Stansted, so
you might just as well get that - easier!

The coach from Liverpool Street is actually the same one that comes
from Victoria, leaving Liverpool Street 32 minutes after the 0200,
0230, 0300, 0335 and 0400 A7 National Express departures from
Victoria.

From Victoria, there are several over departures on route A6 via
Golders Green.

'One' Stansted Express market it as a special overnight rail
replacement coach service when it actually simply a diversion from the
normal A6 route by sister operator National Express Airport.

The only difference is that the fare from Liverpool Street is 8.50
single, 15 return, whereas from Victoria it is 10 single, 15 return,
and rail tickets are valid from Liverpool Street.

Do you mean that the A7 is also the Stansted Express night service?
The latter are timed to depart LS every 30 minutes from 0230 to 0430
and, I always assumed, charged train fares.

If these are two separate things that now that National Express run
the Stansted Express one of the LS to STN routes will surely be
discontinued.

'One' has taken over the Stansted Express from WAGN. However, both
WAGN and 'One' are owned by National Express. Clearly, stopping the
A7 at Liverpool Street enables Stansted Express to operate a night
coach service at little extra cost, as the coach would be operating
anyway.

As a result, I would expect it to be business as usual.
