Tfl's website now says that a second phase is planned for

December, with
expansion into North London being developed next year.

Does anybody know which routes these will involve? I've had no

luck
getting
an answer out of Tfl as yet.

I don't see how they can expand the mainline train services in

north
london
without demolishing lots of buildings. Theres no room left for new

track.

It's not about new track, it's a combination of more frequent

services and
re-branding. It currently covers the Twickenham via Richmond,

Teddington via
Wimbledon, Dartford via Greenwich, and Croydon via Norbury lines. I'd

guess
Hayes, Dartford via Bexley and Croydon via Sydenham might be in the

next
lot; and the Shenfield, Chingford and Watford lines after that.

However,
this is all guess work - was wondering if anyone had any actual

knowledge.

Thanks,
Jonn

I think that the planned upgrade of the NLL might come under this
scheme. Ken has given very loud backing to the project, especially in
connection to the olympic bid, so, just maybe, it might go ahead!

In January 2004 TfL said that the routes would be between Waterloo and
Hounslow, Sutton and West Croydon, London Bridge and East Croydon and a
further route between London Bridge and Dartford.

Hope this helps.

Jeff.

Sorry, the Mayor said this, not TfL.

Thanks, that's very helpful.

All the best,
