Are you sure it was Oxford Circus, not Piccadilly Circus? Sounds like
the usual "signal failure"/"fault on the line"/"passenger action",
which invariably happens at Baker St (usually when I'm in a rush to
catch a specific train out of Marylebone). What happens then is that
the 'loo runs in two segments:
1) Harrow to Pad
2) Picc Circus to Elephant
