Default 3- Decker buses to Hogwarts

On the floor in Sainsbury's there are pictures of Harry Potter buses.
What is few of the people I talked to had noticed is that the bus has 3 decks
- it's surprisingly had to realise what is odd about it.

But I think I remember newspapers reports that at one time London
Transport were REALLY thinking of 3-decker buses. Anybody know anything
about it?

(A repeat to test that I have set up my browser correctly)

can't put your finger on what it is.

If you look carefully, the notice on buses which usually has "23+31
passengers" (or whatever the numbers are) says "3+3+3 passengers".

No, but Heath Robinson once did a cartoon showing 3- and 4-decker buses.
The title was something like "Some suggestions for improving traffic in
London", and it used to be -- perhaps still is -- available as a poster.

Are you sure you're not thinking about a newspaper dated 1 April? Funny things
can appear in them from time to time.
