Default Wimbledon branch of District line - why us?

Usually when there's a problem, the Wimbledon branch still gets a
reasonable service. The main problem with that branch is the large
amount of failures which actually occur on it! The section between

It seems that the infamous Southfields signal is still broken several
months later. Does anyone know of any plans to fix it? I am unable to
fill in the tube comments form because the list of 'stations where the
delay occured' is blank if District line is selected and the form
cannot be submitted without that being filled in
