Yeah but that doen't allow for easy getting on an off. You're only likely to
see a retail outlet after you could conceivably have got off for it.

Heathrow terminal 4 has a travelator in departures that bypasses
half a dozen shops.

I didn't realise there was one at Invalides. Are there any other
high-speed ones in Paris apart from the original one at Montparnasse?

Ah, maybe it was at Montparnasse and Invalides had a conventional
travolator. It was early on Sunday morning and I wasn't properly awake
(though awake enough to be disappointed not to get a ride on the
extreme travolator...)
