Default Anyone have an ETA on the picc re-opening south of arnos grove?

Somehow - and I don't know how - ABC television managed to get hold of
pictures.

It would appear that they've been leaked from one of the many American
investigation/intelligence agencies, after they were circulated by the
Met Police for the purposes of assisting the investigation. The Met is
reportedly very unhappy about this happening, in part for fear of
prejudicing any future trial that may take place.

The Americans seem more relaxed about such things. I remember the end of
the Washington Sniper case, where the local sheriff went on national TV
saying "We've just caught the guy who did it".

Not very different from Friday's Evening Standard headline "Bombers
arrested".

Hitting the sort of glass in car windscreens that shatters, as opposed
to hitting a solid wall and fracturing your skull, you mean?

I would suspect a fractured skull is preferable to shards of glass
embedded in your eyes and carotid artery.

Good job that kind of glass doesn't break into shards then, isn't it?

I've heard nothing to the contrary.

Mind you, I've been off work on leave since last Friday so that
information is worth what you paid for it ;-)

I'm going to be involved in shifting 14 empty trains from NFD to CFD
tomorrow morning (Wednesday) with the plan being that some sort of through
service will be running on Thursday. As I understand it, we will be running
through on a special (read "make it up as we go along") timetable on
Thursday and Friday, then no service between Acton Town and Hyde Park Corner
on Saturday and Sunday due to track replacement work, followed by a full
resumption to TT40 on Monday. All the usual caveats apply, the good lord
willin' an' the creek don't rise...

Cheers, Steve.
Change from jealous to sad to reply.

Neither do car windscreens , but people still look pretty damn messy
when they've gone through one.

Ah, you've changed the point you were making. How unlike you.
