Default Route 43 murder

We'll see if it exists in time...

Just like the Aldwych bus bomb (oops cam not working).

One would hope London Buses management would issue high profile
statements to maintain passenger confidence.

why have we not seen any CCTV footage released? Is this
another case of equipment fitted but not working, as on the 7/7
explosion on route 26?

Just because footage hasn't been released to the public
doesn't mean that there wasn't good quality CCTV on the
bus circulated to police quite quickly after the incident.

Or not, obviously.

"bus travel remains statistically safe....very rare...." etc.

Commiserations to the bereaved might not be a bad idea too.

Issue statements to maintain confidence? How does that work exactly?

Rob.

Indeed...But one might be "Statistically" safer from either Terrorist or
Nutcase attack were there to be a Well Trained and Motivated Conductor on
board one`s bus.
Pressing ahead with the removal of Conductors from the remaining London TPO
routes in the run up to Christmas does not exactly appear like a commonsense
approach to addressing a percieved threat from whatever quarter.....unless
one belongs to the loonier fringes of the Accountancy profession ?

I suspect Peter Hendy & Co certainly belong to the "loonier fringes of
the Accountancy profession", firstly by justifying free travel for the
3rd world on bendy-bus routes, and secondly in allowing indigenous
feral low-life to swamp all services with the forthcoming free travel
for teenagers too.

Yes, this mobile youth club nonsense has annoyed me too. A pretty blatant
attempt to create dependent client groups amongst present and future voters,
along the lines of the winter fuel allowance given to the wealthiest age
group in society - pensioners.

"B) Under 16s have a phtocard to claim free travel. If they misbehave
it will be withdrawn."
Robert........The withdrawl of a Under 16 Photocard is not something which
the average streetwize Tagger will recognize as Punishment for
"Misbehaviour".

Whilst "Bowroad" may have offended your sensitivies with his use of
descriptive terms it is Precisely that which alerts me to his potential
background.......
Sadly a recent journey on the 159 into deepest Brixton provided me with
ample evidence to suggest that Bowroad might just be downplaying the entire
scenario !!
There really is NO alternative to a simple system wide fare structure for
ALL users backed up by strong and visible revenue and asset protection
resources.
If these young dandys get the impression that TfL dont give a toss then one
can hardly be surprised if they in turn begin to eat the furnitire....
