Pack a shovel, blanket something to drink and eat, you may need it!

Highly unlikely in central London (or Brighton), given that the forecast
is for only light snow showers. A journey up from Kent could be more
problematic, I grant you.

Indeed not!

Actually, we did have almost 1 millimetre of snow (about 7 miles from
central London) but it melted before I had time to get the shovel out

We were at Coombe Hill above Wendover, helping to make snowmen!

Why not? There is no Congestion Charge.

It's too late now... but driving in from the West isn't too difficult
(the Westway takes you right into Shepherd's Bush) and on the 27th
traffic will probably be much lighter than usual. So I'd suggest it
was one of the few times it might actually be worth driving into
London.

It is also a Bank Holiday, so parking on single yellow lines in side
streets is fine, and Westminster have announced that there will be no
parking enforcement tomorrow.

I strongly suggest you ignore the statement above and consult
http://www.westminster.gov.uk/transp...nforcement.pdf

if you want to park in Westminster on 27th

I suspect he has confused camera enforcement with PA enforcement

I'd certainly advise checking - although local signage would be more
relevant. In my experience, there would be little problem in parking in
a side street in the area on a Bank Holiday evening, providing that
resident-only bays are not used (and even some of those are signed as
available to anyone on a Bank Holiday).
