It does not in America where the Amtrak website specifically mentions that ID is required for most of their trains. I can imagine the same thing happening in the UK... I notice at Birmingham New Street that a small army of people are now employed to check tickets at the exits/entrances although they only glance at them without any detailed investigation. Axel |
