Some of te people (in fact most) HAVE to drive into London and this is
merely Livingstone on one of his anti-car missions. I work shifts on
the ralway, and I cannot get to work for 5am without driving, so when I
finish at 2pm how I am supposed to get home from Victoria without going
through the zone?

There are 11 bus routes that run all night through Victoria:
http://www.tfl.gov.uk/buses/spiders/...buses-2280.pdf

which one takes me from my door to work? sorry but at 4am I want to be
able to go door to door if i can and certainly dont want to be waiting
in the freezing cold.

Also, the congestion charge doesn't cover journeys to/from Victoria if
you use the right routes:

They have just put up a map at work of the route we can use into and
out of the staff car park avoiding the charge and I shall sure as heck
be using it!!!

My point is that if all the lights were phased back to how they were,
the bus lanes were only in places where there are 2 or more routes on
the stretch of road and there werent so many other TFL installed
obstructions then maybe the congestion would not be so bad.

The residents didnt want it, the workers didnt want it the only people
that did it would appear is livingstone and his cronys in city hall.

Ah, just so we're clear, it's the kind of "HAVE to drive" where all
other alternatives are ruled out pretty much by virtue of not being
driving?

The suggestion that lights are phased to maximise congestion is
fake-moon-landing levels of paranoia. The point about bus lanes is that
they make the road clearer for buses, which are a more efficient way of
transporting people around London, rather than cars, which aren't.

Speaking as a London resident and a central London worker (with no ties
to City Hall), I bloody well wanted it...
