Anyone know the current status of the post office railway? I walked
past the winch at mount pleasent not long back and it was looking a bit
sorry for itself. Is the line still mothballed or has it been
dismantled?

Incidently, the land at Mount Pleasant is earmarked for redevelopment.

##### At the 3rd attempt , I may get this right ( well it is 05.00 ) The
link is
http://www.newlondonarchitecture.org...donsMoving.pdf
Page 40 for the mailrail article. This site does exist but it seems to have a
mind of it's own. I did have this artical on my computure just before my 1st
message! If it doesn't work now I give up.

Doesn't look like it was proofed very well, judging by this statement on
p4: "proposals for a third *airport* [my capitals] at Heathrow will be
met with a storm of protest". I imagine that even proposals for a
*second* airport at Heathrow would me met by more than storms of
protest.
