Default T5 tech failure causes Heathrow chaos - CNN

T5 tech failure causes Heathrow chaos - CNN

Great series of video/sound bytes about the chaos at Heathrow T5.

Story Highlights

* Heathrow Airport's $8.6 billion new Terminal 5 finally opens to
public

* Delays over luggage delivery, protests overshadow the terminal's
opening

* Sole user British Airways says passengers can only check in hand
luggage

* The new building took more than 15 years to complete following
protests

Talk about a group of ****ed of passengers.

Also includes the protests against the proposed Third Runway.

Enjoy!!

Airport operator BAA and British Airways are banking on the
luggage system to improve a reputation for chaotic handling that
has helped the airport earn the nickname "Hassle Heathrow."

No it isn't! Almost the only references to "Hassle Heathrow" (a term
I've never heard before, in 20+ years using it) are syndications of
stories from CNN about the opening of T5.

Indeed so. CNN seem to have invented this new "nickname".

Funny how it always seems to be the baggage handling that produces the
biggest problems.

The human cargo famously loads itself.

www.anti-cnn.com (if you can get to it). It is a pro chinese site. It
shows various pictures/images from western media and debunks them. Not
to support China, but it does show how western media sensationalise things.

CNN staged events in Nepal and used those pictures as if they were in
Tibet. The chinese spotted the uniforms of the nepalese police and knew
those pimages were fake. (that site is full of such fakes, including one
from the bcc).

CNN is not a new network. It is an entertainment network that caters to
ratings. When ratings for Bush were favourable, CNN made sure it did not
criticise Bush.
