Probably best to refer to it as the Great Central Railway - referring to the Great Central Main line wouldn't be technically correct as the line from Finchley Road up to Quainton Road was jointly owned by the GCR and teh Metropolitan Rly. Referring to the Great Central Line carries with it plentiful potential to confuse - people might even think you're referring to Crossrail! |
