Definitely, the fact that legally speaking, Virgin don't operate trains between Watford and London, so boarding one that's physically there would risk getting you charged the full single fare from Preston/ Crewe/Milton Keynes depending on where it came from. Possibly also the fact that they're an ex-Intercity TOC and therefore *some* forms of local London/NSE ticket aren't valid.
