Has anyone else found that the service has been more reliable since the line
was divided into High Barnet - West End - Kennington, and Edgware - City -
Morden? Is there any chance of keeping it that way and splitting it into two
lines permanently or would the outcry be too great?

The main reason for that is probably the reduced frequency meaning there are
spare trains and drivers available in case of problems.

Agreed - what seems to happen down if you travel South ont he Charin X
branch, most trains terminate at Kennington where you get tufed out to
try to get a bank train which is either totally packed or there are
long delays on that branch.

Do they consider running the odd extra Charing X train through to
Morden? No - passengers are continually turfed out into an already
overcrowded Kennington!

And the shortage of trains south of Kennington also exacerbates the
Stockwell bottleneck.

Right now, Vic trains seem to outnumber the Northern by 2 to 1, which leads
to a massive rush hour build up on the southbound Northern platform.
