When should I touch in and out

news:28132823.69.1320423978395.JavaMail.geo-discussion-forums@vbvq4... Hi there, New Travelcard regime of only zones 2 and 3 for a normal journey from south London zone 3 to Canary Wharf via Canada Water and NOT via London Bridge has not worked out. Got charged £1.90 for journey home, but this was only touching in at Canary Wharf and out at south London zone 3. Either my idea is wrong or I should have touched in/out somewhere along my journey, like at either Canada Water and/or Crystal Palace. Any suggestions before I plead my case to TfL, Martin J Look up your journey on TfL's 'single fare finder', it will show the default fare. If your route needs a touch at an interchange validator to reduce that default fare, it will explain where you must do that. You really do need to tell us your origin station though. 'South London zone 3' covers such a wide area there are many different default routes, some of which will assume travel via zone 1. Paul S |
