The limits with the number inside a red circle are mandatory.


And enforced by speed cameras linked to the changing limit on every
second or third gantry (less often on the M42 stretch I think but it
has quite closely spaced signs). Once you know what to look for, you
can see the camera fitted ones as you approach them.
