On a Sunday??

That's what the TfL journey planner shows. The last trains are probably
later M-F. The last tube might only go as far as Acton Town, which has
lifts and a minicab office in the concourse.

I picked Earls Court as the tube destination, but the Heathrow Connect
timetable fooled me. The "last train" on a Sunday is actually on the
Monday "first train" timetable. You couldn't make it up!!

But didn't the Journey Planner find it?

I didn't use the TfL journey planner. Much less of a faff to look at the
three dedicated websites (Tube, Connect and HEx).

Default Sunday night from Heathrow

I have a colleague on a delayed flight who looks as if they'll be
landing Heathrow at 10.45pm Sunday night, and probably looking for ways
to get to West London at about midnight.

I think the chances of getting the 11.48pm last HEx are slim to none;
they aren't an EU citizen, will have hold baggage, and it's an A380. The
last tube is at 11.28pm

What does the team think?

(My initial thought is bonding with a few fellow-countryman delayed pax
en-route and sharing a cab for three.)

Next time you ask for advice about transport from Heathrow, for goodness
sake say which terminal the plane will arrive at (or which airline) and
where in London the passengers are going to. West London isn't really
good enough. Heathrow is in West London!

And then ask here because you can't find the answer. Jeez.

Why? It just took seconds to find the last trains on all three services
using one app, and as we saw, it was more accurate, too. Plus it would take
note of any planned maintenance work.

T3 (sorry I didn't specify that, but I always assume that it's T123
unless T4/5 is stated).

I don't know the exact place yet, but to me "West London" is the area
roughly between Hyde Park and the North Circular (and "East London" is
the area between the City and the other end of the North Circular).

I asked here because the answers I found were services finishing too
early (and from which can be concluded that had they been running late
enough they would have been suitable).

So I was wondering if anyone had any bright ideas. The night bus seems
like a good candidate (would the TfL planner give me a sensible result
if I tried to specify "somewhere between Hyde Park and Chiswick" as the
destination?)

I find the TfL planner fiddly to use, and because I don't know the exact
destination, what should I put in (it seems to be extremely pedantic
about narrowing down locations to the nearest 50ft).
