Yesterday I saw my first real, live 710 in action! I had just arrived
on Platform 1 at Leytonstone High Road, the westbound platform, and a 710 was approaching eastbound at about 45 mph. It went straight through the station and then performed an emergency stop. It stopped very quickly and clearly the 710s have good brakes. I was impressed. After about three seconds, it continued on its way. |
