Default Northwest London rail-less this weekend !!

I'm going to France on the 09:03 Eurostar on Sunday so I thought I'd look up
the best train routes from my local station, Harrow, to Waterloo. There
aren't any !!! Metropolitan not running, Jubilee not running between
Stanmore and Willesden Green, Bakerloo apparently not running, Silverlink
Metro and Silverlink County apparently not running into Euston - buses
replacing all trains !!
I understand that maintenance work is necessary but it seems drastic to
isolate one whole quarter of outer London.
Cheerz,
Baz

Unfortunately there is just one Chiltern per hour from Harrow on Sundays and
the first one isn't until 0819 which wouldn't allow enough time to get to
Waterloo.

The Met is still running outwards from Harrow - so you could get it to
Rayners Lane, then Piccadilly to Green Park, Jubilee to Waterloo.
Certainly not ideal but it should work. TfL Journey Planner reckons just
over an hour - although using the rail replacement bus to Willesden
Green seems to take about as long anyway.

Thanks, Paul - I got that from the TFL too, plus bus to Burnt Oak or bus to
Willesden Green but I was trying to make the point that rail traffic in NW
London is all but non-existent this weekend

Chiltern Trains?

They're not exactly a lot of help for most people in NW London. First train
of the day, at 07:33 would mean I get to Waterloo with only 12 minutes to
spare - too risky, especiaaly as the NationalRail site says the train is
"unknown operator" !!
Thanks anyway,
Baz

well yes I did realise that was your main concern. It does seem as if
the usual co-ordination has somewhat broken down - I guess the pressure
of both the Wembley Park rebuild project and the never ending works on
the West Coast Main Line mean that usual alternative routes cannot be
provided.

Chiltern Trains are not really a lot of help for anyone going anywhere.
They're a holiday company, specializing in holidays by rail, and are based
in Chinnor (www.chilterntrains.com)! ;-))
