On Tuesday evening , WAGN rail from Essex Road (Z2) to Highbury and
Islington, then Victoria line to Walthamstow Central (Z3) was charged
at £1.80 instead of £1.10

A letter or explanation and pology, plus a cheque for the value of
£0.70, arrived in the post the other day.

Apparently TfL were aware of the overcharge, hence the automatically
generated refund.
