In this photo of Broad Street taken in the 60s:

how come the 2 nearest tracks have 4th rail electrification? How come?
Did LT stock ever run into this terminus?

The Class 501s which worked the North London Line and Euston/Watford
services operated on the 3rd/4th rail system until 1971 when they were
converted to 3rd rail only.
