Ian Jelf wrote to uk.transport.london on Fri, 8 Jul 2005:
In message ps .com, writes I'll just leave my 5 year old and 8 year old hanging around outside school until I can get back home on Friday then. Schools are not going to leave 5 and 8 year olds "hanging around" outside. I'm pretty sure that *many* parents will have been late picking up children yesterday. Indeed, it was one of the things that was announced - that children would be quite safe at school, doing their normal activities, but would not be leaving the campus for swimming, etc. I'm quite sure their teachers would, for once, have been happy to supervise them until the last child was collected. -- "Mrs Redboots" http://www.amsmyth.demon.co.uk/ Website updated 23 May 2005 |

What was announced and what was done were two entirely different
things. At my children's school the children were let out of school regardless so don't talk such utter ********. Kevin |
