Default DLR Station Renaming! :-))

Oh dear!

Heard a suggestion that "Cutty Sark for Maritime Greenwich" be renamed
"Burnt Oak for Maritime Greenwich"!

This is in very poor taste. Must have been - made me chuckle!

It is a terrible business, though. Good news that so much of the most
valuable material was out of the hull at the time - rather like Pearl
Harbour, or the boathouse fire at my old college, either lucky or
suspicious.

If it does turn out to have been arson, and they catch the guys who did
it, i have a few yards of rope that are knocking about looking for
something to do ...

In the meantime, if anyone's feeling generous:

Not sufficiently generous to give 5% to the website operators.

5%+VAT on the 5% + plus credit card charges.

You might prefer to go via:

https://www.cafonline.org/default.aspx?page=6860

.... at least when they charge, any excess over actual costs is used for charitable purposes. It is not clear if
they do take costs for one-off donations... they do for some "accounts". Both sites do allow Gift Aid tax relief
to be added and passed on to the charity.

It's a hell of a lot cheaper for the charity if you do it that way
than if you pay by cash or cheque - or indeed anything other than
directly wiring the money into their bank account. Especially since
JustGiving sorts out the Gift Aid tax rebate, which most people who
donate in cash obviously can't be bothered to do.
