Default Tickets on GNER, how to buy them?

I'm trying to buy tickets with return for London Kings Cross to Leeds
and back. I'm on GNERs website and it won't let me buy them because
it only accepts UK postcodes. How can I buy the tickets? I don't
want to wait because the advance ticket prices seem good now but i'm
guessing they'll be more expensive the day of travel, and I want to
make sure we get a seat.
Any suggestions on some other way to buy these tickets? I tried first
class, fasttrack, none of them work.

Some train companies require UK postcodes and some don't. I usually buy
British railway tickets on First ScotRail or ONE Railway websites and
neither of them require a UK postcode. You should be able to buy tickets
for GNER trains on other train companies websites as well.

First ScotRail:
http://www.firstscotrail.trainsfares.co.uk
ONE Railway:
http://www.onerailway.trainsfares.co.uk

These sites use the same booking system as TheTrainLine:
http://www.thetrainline.com
(You can buy tickets directly on TheTrainLine website too, but IIRC they
charge a fee.)

I tried both of them, trying the FastTicket option, and both of them
are requiring a UK postcode.

You could try making one up, though I don't know if it would work with
your credit card.

Register first. I used an Australian post code and Australian postal address
(and .au email address) I was then able to purchase tickets and pick them up
at the fast ticket machine at KX.

As others have pointed out, register first and set up an account with
your details and the use that account to buy the tickets. It has worked
for me with Swedish addresses etc. (But it could have been changed since
I last used it of course.)

It wouldn't let me even begin placing an order until I registered...
It doesn't like my zipcode in the US of 77429

If it's for validation of your card details, rather than simply posting

Probably. KLM once (recently) put through a transaction I made on
their website with an incorrect expiry date! I was astonished when I
phoned up to check that they had accepted it, on the grounds that "all
the other details matched".
