Guys, shall I fly? Or do I drive, since T-5 is still going to be a mess
in 30 days time?

What would you do?

Do you happen to know the lottery numbers for next week too?

What would you do?

Get a train - certainly not drive.

Depends a lot on the time of day. I think I'd take the train. Or do BMI
fly that route from T123?

Train (Virgin from Euston)

Or an airline that's not BA (bmi from Heathrow, VLM from London City, for
example).

Only drive if you're visiting for several days and need the car while you're
up there.

I am spending time in the area and have luggage. The train would be very
difficult; otherwise that would be a "no-brainer".

Will check out bmi.

Take the train. Plan ahead and the fares can be very cheap.

Indeed - my last jolly to Manchester the other week cost a tenner
return. Print your own tickets is a wonderful thing.

Depends on the destination. If you're going from south west london,
flying from heathrow might be a good idea. From south east london,
perhaps fly from Gatwick. From the north, perhaps head to Watford and
Train. From central london, you can't beat the train, it puts you in
the middle of Manchester in less time than it takes to get onto the
plane.

You'll have to Airport-destination, which means a taxi or train. If
you train to Manchester, it's the same choice.

The only reason to fly is if you are driving to the airport and paying
for parking, or driving at the other end, or not actually going to the
city, but somewhere near the airport (somewhere like Staines to
somewhere like Hale. Wilmslow has direct trains from Euston)
