Good days those, until someone tried to upload with a V23 modem at 75

Ooh...Fun... ;)

The latest Fido nodelist makes for rather depressing reading, however...

Net 254 is down to just 6 nodes, comprising 3 unique systems

Region 25 as a whole is down to 35 nodes, and 28 unique systems

Might try and put up the board again at some point, although it'll be a
new system, not Wildcat as I'm running Win2k now ;)

Cya,

Barry

My method works for the system as a whole, obviously there are local

What a modest assertion! May we be permitted sight of the evidence for it?

Err, the 2 minutes per station and 5 minutes per change estimate has
been used for *many* years - I've known about it since I came to
London a long time ago.

Careful "Acrosticus" has a record of being deliberately argumentative and
then disappearing for weeks on end.

And his reply to the original poster was oh so helpful.

How long should I allow for the journey ??

In the current Piccadilly Line timetable most trains do it in about 75
mins, although one or two manage 71 mins and others take 79 mins.
It is about 15-22 mins faster using HEX from Paddington but involves 2
changes.

But only because I comment upon topics I know something about.Unfortunately
however, you (possibly with a view to a magistracy or membership of a local
authority perhaps?) appear to seek an omnipresence here and believe that gives
you credibility.

Both magistrate's benches and local council chambers have frequent vacancies
for people bone-headed enough to shamelessly venture opinions on topics they
know "F" all about in the way that you do (try the bench first though, you
don't need to go through the trauma of an election for that one), so why not
apply there instead of troubling us with your arrogance? Then you could bang
people up for six months on the strengrh of your misguided opinions, should
you get one of these "Commissions of the Peace" things that tell everyone
you're a crook on the make (except the Magistrates Association has banned the
use of "JP" as a post-nominal designation, sadly)!

WTT says 1:16 AGR - HRC. There isn't a timing point at Bounds Green but
3 mins sounds about right.
