I've just got approval to post the following pictures from a site

Enjoy!

Thanks.

What a waste of technology...

Four of the platforms show identical destinations for the next three trains,
but tell you the time of the trains without telling you the time now. The
westbound Picc gives you the time of two trains to T4, but no indication of
the time of the next train to T5. The northbound Northern Line happens to
currently give you time of the next Mill Hill East train, but often would
give you no clue. I bet that thing cost them 100k, but it's partly wasted
because LUL always think about platforms and trains and never look inside
the head of a passenger.

Which exit is going to be named "Regent's Canal?"

Would you want this man inside your head:

?

The train running tunnels are dug by TBMs, which have a big spinning
slicey wheel thing, and hence these tunnels are circular in cross-section.
How are the passageways dug, and why are they also circular?

The one that comes out underwater, presumably.

I'm not actually sure - I think it is the exit that comes out nearest,
but not inside, St Pancras station.

ITYF that this is test data and it hasn't been connected to the system
(I'm fairly sure that the live board won't say "stop looking at this
board and get back to work, either). When it has, it'll work like
every other ticket-hall-level board on the system and say "Morden 5
mins, Kennington 7 mins", etc.

The LHR point is fair, but hard to do anything about until the Picc
signalling is updated. The MHE one isn't: if you need to go there, you
know you take the first High Barnet train and change at Finchley
Central.

No worse than at Arnos grove where the shiny(ish) new indicators for the
northbound trains still display bugger all apart from "Piccadilly Line"
(presumably for people so stupid that even after buying a ticket and entering
the station they still don't know what line they're on) after having been
installed for about 2 years already.

Alternative reality Boltar rant from 2010: "at Arnos Grove they've
just removed and replaced the ceiling tiles at enormous expense to
install the wiring for new indicators. Why the hell didn't the idiots
do that when they refurbished the rest of the station three years
ago?"
