I used to keep a bin bag in my pocket when travelling on the underground with a yike, just in case. Imagine having a a bike stuck next to you at 08:30 along with the other 500 people. Grease, ripped tights etc......and then it would be a claim against LUL. My experience of people with bikes has been that they think they should be allowed on as they are saving the nation.....damn the rest of the public and they can climb over the bike to get off. Mal |

Bikes are banned on all sections which require escalators to reach, and all the near-surface lines during the rush hour. As the poster says, what if a Tube train had to be evacuated inside a deep tunnel? One thing I would like to raise in this forum is why bikes are banned on the DLR at all times? What's wrong with bikes at evenings and weekends on the DLR? |
