True, especially as it gets dark at 3.30-4pmish in December, that doesn't
leave you much daylight.

Somewhere close to the A2 or A20 (Bexley? Eltham? Mottingham?) might fit the
bill, but I don't know enough about parking or trains.

I once stashed a car free of charge a few minutes walk from New Cross Gate
early one morning and then went to work from there. I was having dinner
nearby with a friend and wanted to have the car so that I could drive home
afterwards. In terms of accessibility this is less daft than the OP's
proposal to park at Morden, but I suspect Ebbsfleet is the best deal
overall.

I thought of North Greenwich (for the Dome) and Jubilee Line, as it's
close to those major roads; but despite what's presumably a lot of
rather under-utilised daytime parking there, it seems a bit expensive.

I suspect Ebbsfleet is the best deal overall.

Quite likely, especially if the weather is bad.
