Er - I don't think the OP would have got where he wanted to go on the 38! -- "Mrs Redboots" http://www.amsmyth.demon.co.uk/ Website updated 28 November 2004 |

In article ,
Tom Anderson writes I do accept that the Euston arrangement is the most sensible, though, since it helps you keep going in the same general direction (north or south - even though the northbound Northern line is heading southwest at Euston), The primary purpose of the Euston interchange is to allow passengers from the northern branches of the Northern Line to reach the West End. The interchange is on the Bank branch because, pre Victoria Line, this had much lighter loadings. but the other way is useful too - it helps you get from Victoria to the City. That's what the Circle Line was built for. If they were really clever, they would have put the crossover between Euston and King's Cross, and built King's Cross crossplatform with the Northern (City) as well, Not enough room available. -- Clive D.W.
