What's the [ quickest / easiest / cheapest ] way of getting from Gatwick to Liverpool? Easiest is to take a Virgin Train at 0946 to Birmingham New Street, and then a train from there to Liverpool Lime Street. Takes 5 hrs.42mins. Can also be done by taking a train to Reading, thence to Birmingham and thence to Liverpool, in 5hrs.25mins. Next easiest is to take a Southern Train at xx37 to Watford Junction, and then a Virgin Train to Liverpool. Probably the quickest option at just under 4 hours. Coach involves a change at London or Birmingham, and takes between 7 and 8 hours, but will be the cheapest option, you will have a seat, and walking will be minimal. -- Terry Harper Website Coordinator, The Omnibus Society http://www.omnibussoc.org |
