Beck's Law: District/Metropolitan/H&C Line Trains come when waiting
for
a Circle Line Train; Circle Line trains come when waiting for a
District/Metropolitan/H&C Line Train.

Beck's second law: if you change from District to Piccadilly at Barons
Court Westbound, at least two Ealing Broadway trains will reach Acton
Town before an Uxbridge train turns up.

If you don't, one will overtake you.

Beck's Third Law: If travelling from Baker Street or Finchley Road to
Harrow-on-the-Hill, and the next two trains are an all-stations
followed by a fast, whichever one you don't take will arrive at Harrow
first.

Beck's Fourth Law: If you're travelling southbound on a Charing cross
branch train, it will terminate at Kennington. The only times you'll ever
see a through CX service is while waiting for a northbound Bank train.

Holden's Theorem: Should a train be exceptionally reversed E2W at Arnos, the
likelihood of the following train going through is inversely proportional to
the clementness of the weather. Thus train reversed at Arnos at 15:00 on a
sunny warm July Sunday afternoon, next train going to Cock will be standing
at PJ2 waiting to come into the platform, passengers will not have finished
alighting from the first train before the PA informs them of the whereabouts
of the following train.
Train reversed at Arnos at 17:55 on a dark November Thursday evening with
the temp about freezing and a biting wind blowing a light sleeting rain
horizontally along the platform, next two trains will also reverse (both on
6 minute headways and one of them via P4), the third will be an Oakwood
stow, forth train in will be another reverser (booked) fifth train will go
to Cock. There will be no PA announcements.
