There is some mention about having to apply for a new Oyster card if
certain types of ticket are to be added. Can anyone explain what this is about? Scott |

Was it initially believed necessary with adding National Railcard discounts, because the railcard serial number had to be linked to the Oyster card or something, but turned out not to be needed eventually? According to the tfl website: "If you want to purchase other tickets e.g. Monthly or Annual Travelcards, you need to get a new Oyster card. Alternatively, please go to a Tube Station Ticket Office or Oyster Ticket Stop and fill in a registration form to enable your Oyster card to hold longer-period season tickets." I don't think this has anything to do with National Railcard discounts. Can anyone explain what this is about? |

Whereabouts does it say this? I think you're missing some crucial context here. U -- http://londonconnections.blogspot.com/ A blog about transport projects in London |

It means if you try to buy a season ticket they'll have to send you a new card as they can't load it onto your existing unregistered card. Unless of course you go to a tube station and get it registered first. U -- http://londonconnections.blogspot.com/ A blog about transport projects in London |

They have my name, address, home telephone number, mobile telephone number and e-mail address. I have set up a user name and password. What more do they want? Do I need to turn up at a tube station with two forms of identification? DNA sample? Fingerprints? |
